Ever heard the phrase sun, sand sea and sex? Well if this morning’s papers are to be believed, a spot of sunbathing may well do wonders for the male sex drive. It has already proven that testosterone levels rise with doses of Vitamin D. Men who have around 30 nanograms of Vitamin D per millilitre of blood, are often shown to have more testosterone than men with less Vitamin D levels. This has proven by a number of experts at the Medical University in Gratz, Austria. They believe that production of the vitamin is amplified when a subject is exposed to sunlight. The same results can also be achieved from consuming oily fish and meats. On the whole, the average testosterone level for each male was determined by the level of Vitamin D they had been given. The seasons are also thought to be a factor, with October yielding less testosterone due to a decline in sunlight during winter. In addition to this, Testosterone levels are lower in March, as the solar radiation levels are lower during this period. As a result of the study, experts have been able to conclude that men who ensure they have adequate levels of Vitamin D, experience healthier levels of testosterone. These findings, born out of the Austrian study are further backed by earlier research. It had been proven that a single hour of sunshine on a daily basis can suffice to boost testosterone levels by 69%. How can we benefit? Sexual performance is often a sensitive issue and erectile dysfunction is a condition that affects around 40% of the male population at one stage in their lives. A common symptom of ED, is a reduction in sex drive and testosterone levels. Anybody suffering with erectile dysfunction can potentially benefit from seeing their health care provider, to ascertain whether they are suffering with deficient Vitamin D levels. Although your doctor should always be your first port of call, there are a number of proven, natural alternatives to invasive surgery. Viapro is a good example of an effective sexual enhancement medication that has helped thousands of men worldwide. |
