What is the Kegelmaster?
The Kegelmaster is a vaginal tightener that can improve your vaginal muscle strength. The Kegelmaster was developed for women who have stretched their vaginal muscles, during child birth for example, and have found that the muscles have not returned to normal. This effective exerciser once inserted into the vagina, uses dynamic, progressive resistance to strengthen pelvic floor and the pubic area. These are known as Kegel exercises, which work the muscles of the pelvic floor and tighten the walls of your vagina.
What are its main benefits?
One important benefit you can expect from using the Kegelmaster is a tighter vagina, which can increase sensitivity and help
improve your sex life. In addition to its sexual benefits, the Kegelmaster can reduce health problems common amongst women, including incontinence, prolapsed uterus, prolapsed bladder and rectocele.
How do I use the Kegelmaster?
Close the Kegelmaster with your hand and tighten the button on top to hold it closed. Lie down on your back with your head resting on at least 1 pillow, then bend your knees keeping your legs 2 feet apart and your feet flat. Position the Kegelmaster with the button up. Make sure you lubricate the vaginal area with a water soluble lubricant to reduce friction. Place the Kegelmaster between your thighs and insert approximately 3 inches into your vaginal cavity. Turn the knob to open out the end of the vaginal exerciser gradually and then perform the exercises by opening and closing your legs slowly.
Can I adjust the tension?
Tension can easily be adjusted depending on how tight or loose your vaginal cavity is. If you are able to close down the Kegelmaster all the way once inserted into your vagina, for 30 closings, then you must change the setting by moving the spring forward to yet another pin. Remember, your goal is to fatigue the muscle until there is very little movement, similar to the way a thighmaster exercises your inner leg muscles. Tensing and releasing exercise movements - which you can do in sets of 10 - should be accompanied by steady breathing.
How safe is the Kegelmaster?
The Kegelmaster is a safe vaginal tightener, however, you are advised not to use it if you have a history of urinary tract infections. You should also avoid using this vaginal exerciser for a period of 6 weeks after genitourinary or pelvic surgical procedures, unless these exercises have been specifically recommended by your physician. In addition, the Kegelmaster must not be used for a period of 6 weeks during the postpartum period after delivery. Lastly, reframe from using the Kegelmaster when using other intra-vaginal devices such as tampons or diaphragms as this may damage your body.
Is the Kegelmaster painful to use?
The Kegelmaster is specifically designed to cause no physical pain, whether you choose to use it casually or on a regular basis. Your vagina will not stretch or become larger; neither will any damage be caused to the vaginal muscles. The Kegelmaster works on the principle that the vaginal muscles must be allowed to extend as far as possible without pain before they then contract. This exercise can improve muscle elasticity and strength.
