What is the BodyTest Gonorrhea test?
It is a test kit that you can use in the comfort and privacy of your own home to discover whether or not you have gonorrhea. Gonorrhea testing checks body fluids for the presence of the gonorrhea antigen. An increased amount of antibodies will be a sure sign that the infection is present and that you should visit a doctor. The BodyTest Gonorrhea test is perfect for people who would like to find out whether they are infected with this common STI.
What is gonorrhoea and why is gonorrhoea testing important?
Gonorrhea, also known as ‘the clap’, is a sexually transmitted infection that affects both men and women. It is passed on through vaginal, anal or oral sex and can infect the cervix, urethra, anus, rectum and throat. Symptoms include a burning sensation or pain while passing urine, as well as an unusual discharge from the vagina or penis. Gonorrhea is easily curable. However, it can cause serious health problems if left untreated, including infertility and meningitis.
How does BodyTest Gonorrhea work?
Using this Gonorrhea test is extremely simple. Just use the included cotton swab to collect discharge from the top of the penis, or from the vaginal opening. This sample must then be mixed with the provided buffer fluids, and four drops of this combination sample must then be dispensed onto the sample well on the test disk, using the sample dropper. A colour band will let you know the gonorrhoea test result. Interpret test results after 5 minutes.
When do I use the BodyTest Gonorrhea test?
Because delayed diagnosis of gonorrhea increases the chances that it will cause health damage, or be passed on, you should aim to use the gonorrhea test soon after you suspect that you might have been exposed to the infection. One of its advantages is that these home testing kits can be used discretely, within the comfort of your own home. So gonorrhea testing can be conducted in complete privacy
When will I see the results?
The results will be available within just five minutes of using this gonorrhea test. The easy-to-interpret colour bands will let you know what the results are. After 15 minutes, you should not attempt to interpret the results as the kit will have been affected by the atmosphere. Results should be interpreted in the first 5-10 minutes after dropping the sample onto the sample well.
Are there any precautions?
Gonorrhea testing using the BodyTest Gonorrhea test is safe to use as long as you follow the instructions in the pack properly. In order to get accurate results, remember to interpret the results after 5 minutes and before 15 minutes has passed after placing the sample on the test disk. Seek your doctor’s advice immediately should you find you are infected with gonorrhea.

What a brilliant idea. I was stressed about the fact that the condom i was using had broken a few weeks back. Ordered the test, followed the simple instructions, thankfully it came up negative. I was relieved i didn't have to see my doctor about it and have learn't my lesson.
